Mitsubishi today rolled out eight top-of–the-line, premium 1080p LCD flat panel HDTVs with unique thin frame, ultra-compact designs.  And then it unveiled nine new DLP HDTVs.  Not a bad little Monday.

 

The 133 Series 1080p LCD flat panel HDTVs include the 40″ LT-40133 (suggested $2699), 46″ LT-46133 ($3399) and 52″ LT-52133 ($4499) and feature three rear HDMI 1.3 Inputs.
Other new LCDs include the 40″ 134 Series LT-40134 (suggested $2899); the 144 Series, which includes the 46″ LT-46144 ($3899) and 52″ LT-52144 ($5099), the Diamond LT-46244 ($4499) and Diamond LT-52244 ($5699).  (Diamond models are presented in a sleek high-gloss Black Pearl accented by a Diamond Blue light.)

 

Each 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch 1080p LCD flat panel HDTV features Mitsubishi’s super Thin Frame with hidden speakers for more picture in a smaller space.  The Mitsubishi Thin Frame measures about an inch, which is less than half typical LCD flat panel frame widths.
Each 40-inch model is only 37″ in width and 23.9″ in height (without base), each 46-” model is 42.3″ wide and 26.9″ tall (without base), and each 52″ model is 48″ in width and only 30.4″ high (without base).

 

As for the DLPs, Mitsubishi’s 733 Series 1080p DLP HDTVs come in the 57″ WD-57733 ($2499), the 65″ WD-65733 ($2999) and the 73″ WD-73733 ($4699), each of whcih offers 6-Color Light Engine; x.v.Color, PerfectColor; Easy Connect; three rear HDMI 1.3 inputs; and a front HD component input.   The 734 Series also comes in the 57″ (WD-57734 - $2799), 65″ (WD-65734), and the 73″ WD-73734. 

 

Three Diamond models are available in the 57″ WD-57833 ($3399), the 65″ WD-65833 ($3999) and the 73″ WD-73833 ($5899).

 

The 833 Series includes some key features above and beyond the 734 Series, including Smooth120Hz for more fluid and smoother moving images free from motion blur, TV Guide On Screen 9.0, Game FX - 3D game capability, IEEE1394, and an RS232C input.

 

Each 57″, 65″ and 73″ 1080p DLP HDTV features Mitsubishi’s super Thin Frame andis at least 25% less deep. The Diamond models sport a rich Black Pearl high -gloss finish with a Soft Blue light, making them the sleekest, most modern and compact designs ever from Mitsubishi.
